Different place provide a perspective on your self.
As I have returned home and am gearing up for seeing my friends from years ago, my roommate that I haven’t seen in ages, and then going back to the crazy world of college, it seems to be ever more true that traveling.
When we go to different places and interact with different people that we know in different capacities, it is interesting to see what parts of yourself stay and what parts change. Sometimes I find myself influenced in surprising ways. The things I say or the jokes I make are often determined by context, but my interests and deeper habits are not.
I love seeing all the people that have influenced me and I love seeing new places. It’s a great time of perspective and remembering.
